We collect and store only the following information about you: the name of the domain from which you access the Internet (i.e., aol.com, if you are connecting from an AOL account, or harvard.edu if you are connecting from Harvard University's domain); the date and time you access our site; and the Internet address of the web site from which you linked directly to our site. If your browser accepts cookies we use a cookie to determine if you have visited one of our sites recently. We also will record your IP address when you place an order. This is for fraud prevention purposes.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of information that is sent to your browser -- along with a Web page -- when you access a Web site. Your browser will only return this cookie information to the domain where the cookie originated (in this case, MarinerParts.com). No other site can request it. When you return to this site, the cookie is sent back to the Web server, along with your new request. We gather this information to create summary statistics, which are used for web site planning and maintenance and to analyze system performance. This information tells us the number of visitors to the different sections of our site and helps us understand if our site is meeting the needs of our visitors.
